No. This practice is accessible for everyone. No yoga or tantra experience necessary. This event is an introduction to the practice of Latihan, and will serve as a prerequisite for future Temple events. Completion of this practice grants priority access to upcoming Temple events that consciously and safely explore more erotic edges.

Choose comfortable, unrestrictive clothing you can move in. If you’d like to fully lean into the sensations of energy and skin, wear something that gives you access to your skin (loose layers, shorts, tank tops, etc.). This event is not intended to be erotic or sexual in nature, but is rather a sensual practice designed to expand sensory awareness and capacity, as well as offer opportunity for self-discovery and gain insight into relational patterns through the metaphor of Latihan.

You may engage in various qualities of touch —e.g., light touch or grounding touch.
Movements are S L O W.
In this container, touch to the hands/forearms/upper back/shoulders/legs/feet is welcome within personal boundaries. No sexual touch. No gripping. Think hover, feather, graze, rest, release. The movement is the meditation. It is also important to consider that because participants are blindfolded, the possibility of accidental touch to these areas of the body is possible within the practice. We encourage participants to assume positive intent, to communicate personal boundaries clearly by stepping away or verbally if necessary, and to give grace when appropriate.

This is an intentionally held container for breathwork and a blindfolded, non-verbal, energy-led movement in s l o o o o w time. Outside of the introduction and discussion of the common boundaries and agreements of the container and logistical details, the practice of Latihan is non-verbal. We’ll finish with a short integration circle. (If you’d like to connect with others, feel free to do so after we close.)

We practice at a very slow tempo so the body can “speak” yes/no via breath, tone, and micro-movement. You’re invited to sense: does the body soften, lean, open… or brace, freeze, pull away? Adjust accordingly. If you feel a no or uncertainty, pause or let contact dissolve. A gentle release of touch communicates “complete.” You may also remove your blindfold at any time.

Beautiful. Practice solo. You can maintain spaciousness and let any contact pass without engaging. Your sovereignty is celebrated.

The blindfold is part of the practice to help drop self-consciousness and deepen inner focus. If overwhelm arises, raise one hand with a fist up. A helper will approach from the front, speak softly, and offer options: escort to the side, water, grounding breath, or connecting you with a space-holder. You may keep your blindfold and re-enter when ready, or remove it and remain as a Sacred Witness (you may still participate in the closing integration circle.) Your agency is primary—you can pause or step out at any time.
